If you just purchased a new computer, you will notice a Citrix receiver (has been replaced by Citrix Workplace since 2018). You are probably wondering what a Citrix receiver is, and if you do, keep reading. We are going to share some facts about it.

Citrix Receiver (now Citrix Workspace) is a program that acts as a host of various apps online. It allows its users not to use the apps they need remotely and securely, but the best part is that users don’t have to install those apps on their laptops or computers.

Many companies use Citrix Receiver to establish super secure connections between your computer and their servers. Large organizations, corporations, etc., are using it, especially those dealing with sensitive data.

From this, you can conclude that having Citrix Receiver on your computer can be very useful, especially if you need to connect to remote desktops. After all, the program allows you to use various apps remotely. There is no need to install the apps, and that’s a great option. But, if you don’t need to do that, you probably won’t need Citrix Receiver.

If you don’t have Citrix Receiver but want to get it, you can do this by clicking on this link.

If you want to uninstall it from your PC, click the Start button, find the app, right-click on it and then click Uninstall.
