Until this time, Apple has ordered 4 million Apple Watches for year-end holiday. Apple originally planned to place orders for six million Apple Watches for the fourth quarter, but has reduced the volume since demand for the device is not as strong as expected. If they can reach the sales target, it means Apple has sold more than 10 million Apple Watch in 2015.

Apple Is Looking For The Second Manufacturer For Apple Watch

For the next year, Apple has a plan to make a next gen of Apple Watch, which will probably be released in the second quarter of 2017. To meet this plan, Apple is looking for the second manufacturer to cooperate with. Currently, Apple cooperates with Quanta in making the Apple Watch. Apple has approached some manufacturers to make the next gen of Apple Watch, such as Inventec, Wistron, and Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) according to a Chinese-language Apple Daily report.

Previously, Apple cooperated with Quanta, which has invested heavily in equipment for Apple Watch’s manufacturing, but its profit return from the device has been weaker than expected.
