Microsoft fans are breathlessly awaiting the official launch of Windows 10. Although we known almost all the details about the desktop and tablet versions, the same can be said about the new version of the smartphone operating system.
Windows 10 is the OS which is to unify the entire Microsoft ecosystem. It will run on PCs and tablets, consoles and smartphones.
In addition, upgrading from Windows 7 , 8 or Windows Phone 8 will be free and all the owners of a Windows device will enjoy it.
However, the Microsoft officials have not yet explained which will be the phones that will switch to Windows 10. On the company blog representatives were very vague and made it clear that the low-end and mid-range mobiles might not catch the long-awaited update.
But it seems that owners of the below spectrum handset might get lucky, at least judging by Joe Belfiore, vice president of the Microsoft operating systems.
In a post on the Twitter platform, Belfiore wrote that a version of Microsoft Windows 10 for the phones that have 512 MB RAM is in the works. “we ARE working on Win10 for 512MB, including 520. Our ambition is to make #Win10 available for these devices but features may vary” he wrote.
