In the last few days, rumors about the iPhone 6s have been circulating, and many expect to see this phone available for purchase this year, in September.

Another version of iPhone 6 which will be included in the Apple’s offer, is the iPhone 6c, which is a smaller and more affordable option. Unquestionably, the iPhone 6 is one of the most popular phones at the moment, and a 4-inch version is a highly appealing option for many. Lately, larger phones are considered as trendy, but there are many people who are not too impressed with the idea.

Previous iPhone models such as iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c which are also smaller, are still very popular. Their form is attractive for many, and iPhone 6c will have the smaller form as well. However, it will be launched in 2017, and not this year like many expected.

iPhone 6c concept

MacRumors, tech site, quoted Ming-Chi Kuo, the well informed KGI securities analyst:

“iPhone 5S still going strong; next 4-inch likely in 2017. Shipments of 5S are still going strong at 5-7mn units every quarter, an impressive level at such a mature stage of the product cycle. Momentum is being sustained by a more affordable price and the product’s outstanding design. But we still believe it’s necessary for Apple to have a new 4-inch iPhone because: (1) it will be key to extending momentum in the 4-inch category; and (2) it could complete the Apple Pay ecosystem, assuming it is equipped with NFC. We predict a launch in 2017.”

If you would like to have a smaller iPhone 6, with features such as Touch ID, and NFC, it seems you will have to wait a bit longer in order to get the iPhone 6c.
