3D Touch was introduced with iPhone 6s and 6s Plus. This new feature brought in some excitement, but it also came with its own issues. Some users found that it popped up too quickly and some complained that it did not pop up early enough. This may be related to the level of sensitivity of 3D Touch. While Apple ships the phones with 3D Touch sensitivity set to medium, you can change it to light or firm and check if the new sensitivity level is more suitable for you.
Solution: Change the Sensitivity of 3D Touch
- Go to Settings
- Tap on General
- Head into Accessibility
- Look for 3D Touch and tap on it
Change the sensitivity level to suit your requirement.
Some users who complained of 3D Touch not working realized that the app they were using did not support 3D Touch. While developers are trying to make their apps compatible with 3D Touch, all apps may not offer support for it.
