Apple announced that iOS 9 adoption has reached around 75% from all iOS devices, measured by App Store on January 11. This number increases 5% from the adoption chart in November 2015. From the latest graphic, we can see that 19% of iOS devices are still using iOS 8 and 7% are on earlier firmware version.
Apple keeps on improving and developing iOS 9. The latest one, iOS 9.3 Beta for preview, provides some interesting features, such as Night Shift Mode, password protected notes, new shortcut 3D Touch and more.
Besides the good news about the iOS 9 adoption and the Apple Music paid subscriber that reaches 10 million, Apple also beats the PC shipment in 2015 for the first time, as it’s reported by @asymco. Apple shipped more than 300 million Macs, iPhones, and iPads in 2015, while PC shipment only 275 units in 2014. From 300 million units that were shipped by Apple, 290 million are iOS devices and 10 million are Mac. This was a good number to close the year.
