Turn off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and Mobile data

You should turn off these services when you don’t need them because when enabled they are draining the battery, even if you are not using any of it. If you left your house with the enabled Wi-Fi, your device will search for the Wi-Fi network and your battery will drain faster. Simply disable these services, and turn them back on when you need them.

Bringtness level

It is a known fact that display eats the battery, so if you want to make it last longer, just reduce the level of brightness. It is one of the simplest tweaks, but it can do miracles. Just go to Settings > Display, and reduce the level a bit.

Avoid using live wallpapers

Live wallpapers do look awesome we can all agree on that, but, what is more important to you, the appearance or the battery life? The battery life for sure. Consider using the regular wallpaper instead.

Choose the dark theme

One of the easiest ways to change the appearance of the UI is by changing the theme. Thankfully, there are tons of awesome themes for the Samsung Galaxy S6, but when choosing the theme, consider the dark one.

Disable motion and gestures

Samsung’s flagships always come with tons of options and features, and there are several options under motion and gestures that are enabled even if you probably never use them. Go to Settings, tap on Motion and gestures, and disable the features you don’t actually use.

Facebook website instead of Facebook app

It is a well-known fact that Facebook app is a true enemy of the smartphone’s battery. We know that you love Facebook and that you must open the app several times a day to be sure that you didn’t miss anything, but it would be a good idea to remove the app and access your favorite social network by using the browser.

Use the Power Saving mode

When you see the battery is under 20 % or less, you can always turn on the Power saving mode to make the battery last longer. Once you turn on the Power Saving mode, it will turn off some options and features on your device, but it can be super useful when you are not in a situation to charge your device.

You can try these simple tips, some of them or all of them, combine them as you like and your battery will last longer!
