How to Upload a Video on IGTV

As you know, Instagram is a worldwide famous social network. To stay on trend, apps like this always try to add more features and conquer their competition. Not so long ago, Instagram added the IGTV (aka Instagram TV) feature to its app. It is a feature where you can add videos that can be longer than one minute (you cannot do that by adding them regularly because the video can be only one minute long, and you also cannot do that on Insta Story because there you can upload a fifteen-second video). They found yet another way to make their users creative by letting them upload all kinds of videos!

Here's how to upload it to your profile:

These steps are going to be easy!

• After you’ve opened the app, the first thing you will need to do is to click on the + button in the middle of your menu. Just like adding a regular post.
• If you click that, as you may already know, you can go through your gallery to find the video you want to upload. So, find a video that is longer than 60 seconds and select it.
• Tap on the Next button. You will then be asked if you want to share your video as a Short or a Long video. The Short Video option will trip your video to exactly 60 seconds, and it will upload it regularly. However, because you want an IGTV video, click on the next option, the Long Video option. When you select it, tap on the Continue button.
• The next step is the same as when you upload a regular video. You are going to have to choose the cover for your video. Just choose a cool pic from your gallery and click on Next when you finish.
• Now you will be able to choose the description for your video and share it on other social media like Facebook as well.
• When you are done, simply click on Post, and that is it!

Note: Remember that a small part of this video will appear on your profile. Your followers need to click on the small icon while watching the video to see the whole video on IGTV. Also, these steps are for both Android and IOS devices.

How can you create an IGTV series?

First of all, what is an IGTV series? The newest feature is just the same as watching a TV show on your television.

• You will have to go through the steps we previously explained in the How to upload a video section. So, choose a video, and when you get to the Description page, write a cool description and a title, and then stop there.
• You can see the Add to the series button somewhere on the screen. Click on it.
• A new window will open where you will see an option to Create Your First Series. Tap on that option.
• Once you’ve tapped that option, you will be redirected to the Description window again. So there, you just need to type in the Title and the Description of your video. Once done, click on next.
• You will be asked which series you want to add to the video in a new tab. Since you do not have any previous IGTV series, check the My Series button and click next.

And you are done!
