How to jailbreak iPhone 6
Before you start, you’ll need to back up your device on iCloud or iTunes software. You will also have to disable your antivirus software and firewalls.
Windows
In order to jailbreak iPhone 6, just follow the steps listed below:
- The first thing you need to do is to download the jailbreaking tool. For Windows, it’s Taig Jailbreak, and you’ll find it on this link. Unzip the file.
- Use the cable that came with your iPhone 6, and connect your device to your computer.
- Disable Passcode, go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode.
- Turn off Find my iPhone, go to Settings > iCloud > Find my iPhone.
- Right click on the Taig file you downloaded, and choose the option Run as administrator.
- After a few seconds, Taig will detect your iPhone 6. When that happens, check if the version of the firmware is right, in this case, it is 8.1.2.
- There will be two checkboxes. The one is Cydia, which should remain as it is, and the other in Chinese, that you should uncheck.
- You’ll see a green button, click on it to start jailbreak.
- When it’s done, your iPhone 6 will reboot. Go to the Home screen, and you’ll find a Cydia icon.
- Enable Find my iPhone and Passcode.

Mac
To jailbreak iPhone 6, follow these steps:
- First, download the tool, PP Jailbreak, from here. Unzip the file.
- Disable Passcode, and to do that, go to Settings > Touch ID & Passcode.
- Turn off Find my iPhone, and to do that, go to Settings > iCloud > Find my iPhone.
- Use the cable that came with your iPhone 6, and connect the device to your computer.
- Double click on the PP jailbreak tool you downloaded, and it will detect your device. Check the firmware version, it should be 8.1.2.
- Untick the checkbox you’ll see in the PP window. Then, click on the button located in the center of the window. You will see two other buttons, so make sure to click the one located on the right to start the jailbreak.
- When it’s done, your iPhone 6 will reboot. Go to the Home screen, and you’ll find a Cydia icon.
- Enable Find my iPhone and Passcode.
