Microsoft office for iPad and iPhone
When office for iPad and the iPhone became available, there were some major limitations. Users were able to open excel, word and other office documents, but editing features were possible only with the Office 365 subscription. That was a huge shortage. Fortunately, things have changed, and these apps are now available for free. This means that you can download and install Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, and Excel, and you can edit the documents without Office 365 subscription. iOS 7 or 8 is required.
Go to the App Store, and download the app you want:
When you download Word, Excel, or other Microsoft office apps, you will be asked to log in to your office 365 account, and in case you don’t have it, the other option is Microsoft account. To create a Microsoft ID, click here. If you have Microsoft account, just sign in.
Registration is required if you want to edit PowerPoint, Word or Excel documents. If you don’t want to edit any of the documents, you can choose the option Sign in later > View for free.
If you run a business and want to gain the access to some extra features, you can choose one of the Office 365 subscription plans. The options are:
- Office 365 Business essentials – $5 per month
- Office 365 Business – $8.25 per month, full Office desktop included
- Office 365 Business premium – $12.50 per month, full office desktop and email included.
