How to generate an Apple app-specific password
To generate an app-specific password, follow the steps below:
- Open the browser of your choice and go to appleid.apple.com
- Enter your Apple ID and your password
- Click on the option “Generate Passwords” located under the Security section
- Next, you will have to enter a label for the app-specific password
- Click on the option Create
- Copy the password
- Now, open the app you need the password for and paste it into the dedicated field.
You can access the list of your passwords at any time. Here’s how to do just that:
- Open the browser of your choice and go to appleid.apple.com
- Enter your Apple ID and your password
- Click on the “Edit” option located under the Security section
- Click on “View History” under the “App-Specific Passwords” section
