Ways to fix live wallpaper not working on iPhone 6s
Note: Keep in mind that live wallpapers work on the lock screen only, and not on the Home screen and to see the wallpaper moving, you need to use 3D touch and push a bit.
Solution No.1: Make sure that the “Low Power” is disabled
Low Power mode is a super useful feature, and when it’s enabled and your battery is under 20% it will temporarily reduce some features, so the live wallpapers won’t work. You need to make sure that this mode is disabled if you want live wallpapers to work normally. Go to Settings, tap on Battery, and see if the Low Power is activated (it is if the switch is green). Just move the switch to disable it.
Solution No.2: Restart your iPhone 6s
If the live wallpapers stopped working, the first thing to do is to restart your device. Perhaps one of the processes or apps which is running in the background caused the problem, and restart can fix that because it will kill the processes and apps, and it will also free up the memory on your smartphone. That is why restarting the iPhone is listed as one of the solutions for all kinds of problems and bugs that may occur. To restart your iPhone, press and hold the sleep/wake button and when the slider appears on the screen drag it to power off. Once your phone is off, press and hold the sleep/wake button again to turn your device back on.
Solution No.3: Set another live wallpaper
This problem bothered quite a few users, and many of the solved the problem with this simple trick. What you need to do is just set another live wallpaper instead of the current one. To do that, go to Settings, click on Wallpaper, and now tap Choose a New Wallpaper. Tap on “Live” and tap set to change the wallpaper. Once you do this, see if the live paper is working. If it does, you may go back, and set the one you used before.
Solution No.4: Set the regular wallpaper
This fixed the problem for some users. Go to Settings, tap on Wallpaper > Choose a New Wallpaper and then tap on Stills. Select one of the wallpapers and tap set. After that, go back to Settings > Wallpaper > Choose a New Wallpaper and tap on Live. Select the Live wallpaper you want and tap Set. Hopefully, a live wallpaper will work normally.
