In many cases, the problem with 3D touch occurs only when you use one of the apps you have on your iPhone 6s Plus. So, it may be an app related problem, and there are a few things you can do to fix it.
# Make sure the application is up to date – as you know, all the apps you have on your device should be up to date in order to work flawlessly. The first thing you should do is to go to App Store and make sure the apps are up to date. Once you update the apps, see if the 3D touch is working when you are using a particular application.
# Reinstall the app – If you updated the app, but the issue with 3D touch still occurs when using a specific app, you can remove that app from your device and you can install it again. Go to the Home screen, find the icon of the app, tap on it and hold until you see an X in the corner of the icon. Tap on it to delete the app. Go to the App Store, download and install the app again. Keep in mind that pre-installed app cannot be deleted.
Solution No.4: Reset All Settings
If the previous solutions didn’t fix the problem, you can reset all settings as this worked for many iPhone 6 Plus users. This will not erase your files or your settings. Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap on “Reset All Settings” option.
Solution No.5: Erase all content and settings
Sometimes, when nothing else works, giving your device a fresh start can do the trick. Don’t forget to backup your data because as the name suggests, your content and settings will be erased. Here is what you need to do:
- Navigate to Settings
- Tap on General
- Tap Reset
- Click on Erase all content and settings
When this is completed, follow the on-screen steps and set your device as new.
