- Open the Signal app on your iOS or your Android device
- Next, tap on the three dots located in the top-right corner of the app or your profile picture
- When the drop-down menu shows up, tap Settings
- Next, tap Appearance
- Tap Theme
- A menu will show up, and you can switch to the theme you want there. There is Light, Dark, and System default. The third option means the app will follow the theme that is set as a theme on your entire system. For instance, if you are using Android 10 and have enabled dark mode, Signal will follow it. In the future, if you change the Android theme back to Light, Signal will also change its theme.
