How To Fix Google Pixel 2 XL GPS Issues

If you are facing issues with Google Maps or GPS navigation on the Google Pixel 2 XL – There must be issues with the software or the problem with the GPS antenna in your mobile phone.

Before doing anything else, toggle GPS. Turn it off, wait for a couple of seconds, and turn it back on.

Next, do the following:

  • Go to Settings > Location
  • Tap on Mode”
  • Select High Accuracy”

You also should clear the cache for Google Maps. Here is how to do that:

  • Tap on Settings > Apps
  • Find “Maps” on the list and tap on it
  • Now click on “Storage” and then Clear Cache

After this procedure, restart your mobile phone. And check whether Google Maps and GPS are working fine.

Also, if there is a new software version, you should download and install it. Make sure your device is charged. Connect to a Wi-Fi network. Go to Settings > System > System Updates. Tap Check for update. If there is a new version available, tap Download.

There is one useful app named GPS Status and toolbox which you can download from Google Play store. It will surely help to increase GPS accuracy.
