Facebook dating not working – ways to fix it

Before going further, you should make sure that the service is up and running. As we mentioned, sometimes, the servers could be down, and all you can do is wait. And if Facebook Dating is down, it will be down for you, and for everyone else. You can get the info on Twitter or by googling it.

Make sure you have a good internet connection

If you are connected to a Wi-Fi network, but you seem to have issues using not only Facebook Dating but other apps as well, you should restart your modem/router.

Force close the app and launch it again

Sometimes, all you have to do is force close the app and then launch it again. On Android, go to Settings > Apps > Facebook > Storage, and tap Force stop. On iPhone, swipe up from the bottom of the screen, find Facebook, then swipe up on its preview to close it.

Restart your smartphone

You should reboot your smartphone. By rebooting it, you will close the processes that are running in the background and you will also free up the memory. Your device will perform better, and minor glitches will disappear.

Update Facebook App

Make sure you have the latest version of Facebook on your Android or iOS device. If not, head to Google Play Store or App Store and download the latest one.

Reinstall the app

If you are using an iPhone – tap and hold the Facebook icon on the Home screen. Tap X and then tap Delete. Head over to App Store, download, and install the app.

If you are using an Android device – tap and hold the Facebook icon on the Home screen, then tap Uninstall. Go to the Play Store, download, and install the app.
