Using the smartphone without being connected to the Internet would be boring, right? Some iPhone 5s owners reported Wi-Fi issues, from very slow connection to not being able to connect to the network at all.

“First, turn off Wi-Fi, wait a few seconds then turn it back on.”

“Go to Settings, enable Airplane mode and then turn it off.”

iPhone 5s slow charging issue

This can be pretty annoying, especially if you need to go out, and your device takes to much time to charge. The reason can be a faulty charger, dirt and dust, and some software issues.
Method 1: 

Charge your device using the wall charger, not USB because the device will charge faster this way.

Method 2: 

Make sure that you are using the original charger, the one that came with your device.

Method 3: 

Dirt and dust in the lightning port are often the main reason why the phone is not charging as fast as it should. To clean the lightning port, turn off your device, and then use a toothpick, needle or a paperclip to remove dust and dirt.

Method 4: 

Update iOS, if there is a new version.

Sometimes, your device needs a fresh start. Backup your data first, and then erase all content and settings. To do that, go to Settings > General > Reset > Erase all content and settings. When this is completed, set up your device as new.

  • Press and Hold the Power button until the slider shows up

If you can’t download new apps from the App Store or if you can’t update the ones you have already installed, try a few workarounds listed below.

Go to Settings > General > Date & Time and set it to automatic.

Close a few apps and restart your device. To close the apps, tap on the Home button two times, swipe left to browse the apps, and swipe up to close the application. Then, press and hold the sleep/wake button and drag the slider to turn off your phone. When your iPhone 5s is off, press and hold the sleep/wake button to turn it back on.

Sign out from the App Store. Navigate to Settings and tap on iTunes & App Store. Click on your Apple ID and select the “Sign out” option. Open the App Store, tap on one of the apps on the “Feature” page, and download the app. You will see the message with the new terms of service, tap Accept.
