The Apple Watch has claimed 52% of global smartwatch shipments in 2015, according to the new data from UK’s Juniper Research. Meanwhile, the Android Wear as the rival of Apple Watch records 10% shipment. This number shows that Apple dominates the smartwatch world in only 8 months since it can be pre-ordered on April 24, 2015.

Apple Watch completes Apple ecosystem as a companion device for iPhone in terms of notifications and provides the useful application for all categories.

Apple showed the commitment in developing the Apple Watch by presenting watchOS 2 and some additional color versions for Apple Watch sport and band.

Apple Watch is a new category in Apple device series. Currently, Apple didn’t announce the sales number of Apple Watch officially, because it may be utilized by competitors.

Apple Watch seems to be ready to compete with the other smartwatch in terms of the availability of applications. At this moment, Apple Watch has more than 10,000 application titles ready to be downloaded and some of it are native apps, which don’t need to be connected to the iPhone. Its rival, the Android Wear has around 4000 apps. Moreover, the things that can attract users to buy Apple Watch are its variations and the different combinations of bands if it’s combined with the watch face inside. The last, Apple released the Apple Watch Hermes Edition, which combines the Apple Watch with the band from Hermes.
