The latest report from media site Commercial Times said that the Apple Watch 2 trial production will start later this month in Quanta. Quanta is currently responsible for the production of first-generation Apple Watch.
By starting the trial production, the launch schedule of Apple Watch 2 will be one year after the launch of its predecessor. It seems that they will announce it on the Apple event in March.
According to the rumors, Apple Watch will have a thinner design. Moreover, Apple will add the facetime camera for video call and new health and sleep tracking sensors to expand on the fitness foundations from the first-generation Apple Watch. One of the sensors that is rumored will come to Apple Watch 2 is, plethysmograph, a sensor to measure the oxygen level in blood. In addition, the device is believed to feature standalone Wi-Fi, letting users connect to networks directly from their wrist.
