Solution No.1: Check the hold switch

The first thing you should do is check if the hold switch is on, and if that is the case, you’ll notice an orange patch. To turn the switch off, all you need to do is slide, and when an orange patch is no longer visible, it’s done. In order to turn on your iPod touch, press any button.

Solution No.2: Is the battery charged?

If the iPod’s battery is not charged, you won’t be able to turn on your device. Connect it to your computer via USB cable, or use the power adapter.

Solution No.3: Let the battery drain

Sometimes, you need to let the battery drain completely, and to do that, disconnect your device from all power sources, and leave it that way for a day.

Solution No.4: Reboot your iPod

To do this, just hold power and home buttons until the apple logo shows up. Reboot often clears all the glitches.

Solution No.5: Update the software

To do this, connect your iPod to your computer via USB cable, and if there is a new version of software available for your iPod, iTunes will show it.
