Samsung has recently announced an upcoming update for the Galaxy Buds2 Pro, designed to cater to individuals with hearing impairments. Rolling out in the following weeks, this update brings enhanced ambient sound volume, offering improved hearing capabilities. The Korean company revealed that the Ambient Sound feature will now have two additional levels, providing a total of five levels of amplification. Samsung believes this will extend the benefits of enhanced hearing to a broader range of users.

The effectiveness of the new Ambient Sound feature was validated through a clinical trial conducted by the University of Iowa's Hearing Aid and Aging Research Laboratory. The study's findings revealed that the Galaxy Buds2 Pro significantly enhanced speech perception in individuals with mild-to-moderate hearing loss. A similar trial carried out by Samsung Medical Center further emphasized the potential of the Galaxy Buds2 Pro as an effective tool for aiding communication in quiet environments for those with mild-to-moderate hearing loss. Notably, both trials utilized the highest level of Ambient Sound, level 5.

With the new update, Galaxy Buds2 Pro users can now utilize different levels of Ambient Sound for the left and right earbuds, allowing for personalized amplification based on individual auditory needs. Additionally, users have the option to customize the tone range, ranging from soft to clear, across five distinct stages. The introduction of Adapt Ambient Sound further enables automatic tuning tailored to the user's unique hearing profile.

Samsung's dedication to inclusivity and accessibility is evident in the new update for the Galaxy Buds2 Pro. By enhancing the ambient sound functionality, the company aims to empower individuals with hearing impairments and offer them an enriched auditory experience. As the update rolls out in the coming weeks, users can look forward to enjoying personalized and optimized sound amplification, ensuring clear communication and an enhanced listening experience.
