Home button is one of the best UI invention in 2007 when it was introduced for the first time. A home button has a main idea that takes you to home screen. And that’s what you need actually. By the time, home button has not just a button that brings you to home screen but also as a multitasking access (double click), to activate/ deactivated accessibility feature, call Siri(press and hold) and now it has been integrated to fingerprint scanner touch ID. What a genius development wherein a traditional home button legacy can still be kept but with much better features. Since touch ID was adopted on home button, Apple no longer make a square rounded sign on home button which has been an icon from an iOS device. is it the time for Apple to create a new brand icon for their iOS device? As you know, Apple getting bolder with new breakthrough. The next question will be: does Apple dared to remove home button on iPhone? And make it unified with display? possibility of iPhone without home button, may will be a reality.

A new report from the variably reliable DigiTimes claims that Apple is already working on the technology

Apple is internally developing touch and display driver integration (TDDI) single-chip solutions for its iPhones, according to sources in Taiwan’s IC design industry.

The TDDI single-chip solutions will also come with integrated fingerprint sensors, said the sources. The integrated design would fit into future iPhone designs – models with ultra-thin and ultra-narrow displays, and with a whole plane design eliminating the Home button.

If it’s true that Apple is developing display with this capability, it’s a big steps and decision will change iPhone face forever, even for iPad too. It looks like the technology that led to it has made it possible to start be produced. Apple has a force touch technology which can be a part of this step. Seems that we can see it after 2016, wherein Apple will release next iPhone series after iPhone 6. iPhone 6s maybe? and after that (iPhone 7?), who knows?

What is the advantage of this technology? iPhone will become more slim, more reliable and UI wider development without a hitch from home button which completely UI on screen.
