OLED MacBook Pro Release Delayed for Another Three Years, Says Industry Tipster
According to display industry tipster Ross Young, an OLED MacBook Pro from Apple may not be released for another three years. This is a significant delay compared to Apple's competitors, who have already introduced some of the best OLED laptops in the market.
Young shared a link to a Reuters article that highlighted Samsung's plans to build an OLED fabrication plant. In his tweet, Young commented that the factory would be producing 14" and 16" OLED MacBook Pros from 2026. The delay may disappoint some, as OLED-equipped laptops have become a common sight in the market, and it may appear as though Apple is lagging behind the competition.
However, Apple's MacBook Pro laptops are still considered to have some of the best displays in the industry, even without OLED technology. This is because they use mini-LED panels, which Apple calls Liquid Retina XDR.
Overall, while Apple fans may have to wait a little longer for an OLED MacBook Pro, the company's current laptops continue to offer high-quality displays using the latest technology.
