YouTube Premium Introducing Playables for Free Gaming Fun

This holiday season, YouTube Premium has unwrapped an exciting gift for its members – Playables. These are free-to-play games seamlessly integrated into the YouTube app, delivering instant entertainment on both mobile and desktop, all without the hassle of downloads.

Premium users received a notification from Google, prompting them to activate Playables for a trial period. Once enabled, the Playables feature can be found in the Explore tab of YouTube, offering a simple and accessible gaming experience with just a tap.

Within the Playables section, users encounter the Home and Browse tabs. The Home tab presents a list of previously played games and highlights what's currently "Popular" on the platform, displaying six games at a time. The Browse tab opens the door to approximately 37 titles, ranging from classics like Angry Birds Showdown to brain teasers like Brain Out and card games like Daily Solitaire.

The beauty of Playables lies in the fact that users can dive into these games without any downloads, making them instantly playable within the YouTube app. YouTube Premium's benefits page indicates that Playables will be available until March 28, 2024, giving users a few months to explore and decide if this new feature is a keeper.
