Netflix is one of the most popular video streaming services that allow users to watch their favorite movies and TV shows on smartphones, tablets, computers, smart TVs, and gaming consoles. You can install the Netflix app on your Android smartphone or tablet, enter your username and password and watch your favorite videos anytime and anywhere as long as you have an internet connection.

The app works smoothly, but some users reported that sometimes it crashes, the video freezes, or the app becomes unresponsive. It’s not a huge problem, and it can easily be solved. We will show you how to fix Netflix issues on Android smartphones and tablets.

How to fix Netflix issues on Android

Update application

Whenever you notice that any app you have (including Netflix) is not working properly, you need to ensure the app is up to date. To do that, open the Play Store app on your Android device, tap on My apps & games, find Netflix, and if you see the “Update” option, tap on it. Once the update is installed, launch Netflix to see if it works normally.

If the app is unresponsive

If Netflix is unresponsive, you should force stop it. To do that, navigate to Settings > Apps (on some Android devices, it is App Manager or Manage apps), go through the applications and tap Netflix. Now tap on “Force close” or “Force stop” (depends on the device).

Clear app cache and data

This usually works, and here is what you need to do: Go to Settings > Apps (on some smartphones and tablets, it is Manage apps or App Manager), tap on Netflix, and then tap Clear cache.

You can also clear data, but keep in mind that the information Netflix stored will be deleted (you will have to type your username and password again when you launch the app). However, this should fix the problem, and after you do this, Netflix should run smoothly and without any issues.

Reinstall Netflix

You can delete Netflix from your device and install it again. Find the app icon on the Home screen, type and hold it, and then drag it to a trash bin or “Uninstall” field. Go to Play Store and download Netflix again. If this doesn’t help, make sure to report the problem.

These solutions are the most effective ones and worked for most people with issues with Netflix. We hope the app runs smoothly without any problems, and you can enjoy watching your favorite movies and TV shows again!
