How to fix iPhone 8 sound issues
Software update
The first suggestion is to go for a software update as the sound issue on the new iPhone is acknowledged by Apple and they have rolled out the iOS 11.0.2 update. This update carries several bug fixes while the sound issue is the main one. Go to Settings > About phone > Software update and update your phone.
This is the main fix for the iPhone 8 sound issues. However, there are many other fixes and you can keep trying them as well to fix the sound issues.
Restart the phone
The second thing you can do is restart your phone. Sometimes small software issues can cause various issues and a quick restart can help you get rid of those. So, just press the power button for few seconds and drag the slider when it appears. When the phone is off, press and hold the power button to turn the phone back on. The restart does not affect any of your personal data rather fixes the small glitches promptly.
Clear the debris
You need to ensure that you keep your iPhone 8 perfectly clean to stay on the safe side. In case any debris keeps accumulating on the speaker or in the lighting connector, you are bound to face the sound issue on your new phone. So, use a soft brush with smooth bristle and clean the device properly.
Remove the case
Are you using a case and facing this iPhone 8 sound issues? If so, remove the case and see if that can fix the issue for you. Even though most of the cases are designed perfectly, there are some cases that do not fit the device properly and generate small glitches like the sound issue.
Turn off Bluetooth
The Bluetooth is another thing which can create this sound issue. The reason is if you connect your device to a Bluetooth headset very often, what happens then is the iPhone try connecting to the headset whenever it comes in the range. And thus it directs all the sound to the Bluetooth headset through Airplay mirroring. As a result, the sound starts routing through the Bluetooth headset rather than your iPhone. So, the best idea is to turn off the Bluetooth connection when you are not using it.
This can be done going to Settings > General > Bluetooth and turn this option off.
So, these are the main fixes for iPhone 8 sound issues. The software update will definitely fix the issue for you as you experienced the problem that was described at the beginning. You can also try applying the other fixes as well.
