Elon Musk and Spotify CEO Daniel Ek recently took to Twitter to question Apple's App Store guidelines, with Ek calling them "absurd" and Musk stating that they pose a "serious scaling problem."
The conversation started after Twitter announced support for subscriptions on the platform, which take longer to appear on iPhones due to the need for Apple's approval.
This is because of the App Store's in-app subscription guidelines for digital content, which Spotify has been an outspoken critic of in the past.
The company has even filed antitrust complaints against Apple in the EU, citing unfair treatment. Meanwhile, Musk has likened Apple's App Store fees to a 30% tax on using the Internet.
