Discord Nitro Unveils New Features Including Soundboards and Super Reactions

Discord, the popular messaging app, has announced new features for its paid tier, Discord Nitro. Among the new features is a soundboard feature that allows Nitro subscribers to send audio reactions to voice channels. Soundboards will be loaded with audio files curated by Discord or uploaded by managers of individual communities.

In addition to soundboards, Nitro subscribers will also enjoy "super reactions," which will animate certain emoji reactions to chat messages with a little more flair than the normal icon. Nitro subscribers can use five super reactions each week, while Nitro Basic and Classic subscribers can only use two.

The company is also providing Nitro subscribers with five new themes, including Retro Storm, Strawberry Lemonade, Aurora, Sepia, and Neon Nights. Moreover, Nitro subscribers can dress up their avatar with limited-time decorations that overlay flowers, hats, or mushrooms on top of their user portrait.
