At their recent "Let Loose" event, Apple rolled out an exciting update to the Magic Keyboard, designed to pair seamlessly with the new OLED iPad Pros. This latest version brings some cool upgrades that edge the iPad Pro closer to the feel of a MacBook.

Here’s what’s new

The keyboard now sports a sleek aluminum palm rest, a bigger trackpad that offers haptic feedback, and for the first time since 2020, a function row right at your fingertips. Whether you have the 11-inch or the 13-inch iPad Pro, there’s a Magic Keyboard that fits, priced at $299 and $349 respectively. Look out, these are hitting shelves next week!

Apple

Compatibility Heads-up

Note that this keyboard isn’t compatible with the newly announced iPad Air or the older iPad Pro models. It’s clear Apple is pushing the envelope with its Pro line, adding exclusive features that set these devices apart. The new function row, which was first introduced in the base-model iPad last year, meets a growing demand for tools that transform the iPad experience to something that feels a lot more like your trusty laptop.

With these upgrades, Apple isn’t just pitching the iPad Pro as a tablet; they're framing it as a serious contender in the laptop space. Decked out with robust internals like the M4 chip and exclusive add-ons like the new Apple Pencil Pro and the updated Magic Keyboard, it’s more than just a tablet—it’s a powerhouse.
