This device delivers an exceptional experience, but as any other Android out there, it comes with pre-installed apps and many of those applications are bloatware. We all want to have as much free storage space as possible, and most of these apps which are often completely useless, wasting the space. It would be great to completely remove all of them, but that’s not possible as you can delete just a few. Steps to disable the bloatware on Samsung Galaxy S7
Uninstall apps
As we mentioned already, only a few pre-installed apps can actually be deleted. Some Galaxy devices come with Facebook, Twitter, etc. Here is how to delete those apps:
- From the home screen tap Apps
- Next, tap Settings
- Tap Applications
- Select Application Manager
- Tap All tab
- Find the app you wish to delete and tap on it
- Tap Uninstall
- Tap Uninstall to confirm your action.
Disable apps
There are many apps which can’t be completely removed, but you can disable them. Galaxy S7 comes with tons of carrier apps such as AT&T Locker, AT&T Protect Plus, my AT&T, VZ Navigator, VZ Protect, Go90,Slacker, just to name a few. There are several Samsung and Amazon apps as well. To disable the apps, follow the steps below:
- From the home screen tap Apps
- Tap Settings
- Tap Applications
- Select Application Manager
- Tap All tab
- Go through the apps and tap on the app you want to disable and tap on it
- Tap Disable
If you change your mind at some point and want to use one of the apps you previously disabled, do the following:
- Go to Settings
- Tap Applications > Application Manager
- Tap Disabled tab
- Find the app and tap on it
- Tap Enable.
Use Package Disabler Pro to disable bloatware
You can disable the bloatware on Samsung Galaxy S7 using Application manager as shown above. However, some users reported that certain apps such as AT&T’s DirectTV can’t be disabled that way.
