Solution No.1: Force the app to close

If the frozen situation occurred while you were using some of the apps you have on your iPhone, here is what you should do: press the home button two times, and the list of the apps will show up. Find the app you have been using, and swipe up to close it. Another solution is to press and hold the home button for a couple of seconds until the app quits. This is the simplest of all 5 ways to fix frozen iPhone 5s.

Solution No.2: Restart your phone

In order to restart your iPhone 5s, press and hold the sleep/wake button, and you will see the slider. Simply drag it, to restart your device.

Solution No.3: Reset your device

To reset your device, you need to press the home button, and the sleep/wake button, both at the same time, and to hold for about ten seconds.

Solution No.4: Charge your iPhone 5s

Sometimes, this helps. Leave the phone to charge for a while, and then try to use it again. Hopefully, it will work just fine.

Solution No.5: Restore

Connect your device to your computer. Once the iTunes recognizes your iPhone 5s, choose option Restore, in the iTunes summary panel.
