This one is related to some hardware issues, but still, there are certain things you may want to try in order to get rid of it.  Solution No.1: Reboot your iPhone.

If there are some glitches, very often simple reboot can fix them. Press and hold the sleep/wake button, and turn off your iPhone. Wait a couple of seconds, and turn it on again, by pressing and holing sleep/wake button again. This is the easiest solution out of 5 ways to fix iPhone error 23.

 Solution No.2: Check the battery.

As mentioned before, error 23 is often related to some hardware issues. Open your iPhone, remove the battery, and put it back again. This may fix the problem. If you don’t feel comfortable doing it yourself, go to the nearest Apple store, and let them do it for you.

Solution No.3: Security software.

Most of the errors you will get are often related to your security software. Check if the software should be updated. If that does not help, turn it off completely.

 Solution No.4: Update iTunes software.

Maybe the problem is in the iTunes, and in the fact it is not up to date. Open the software on your computer, and Check for Update. Download and install it.

 Solution No.5: DFU mode.

To do this:

  • Turn off your iPhone. Open iTunes, and then connect your device to your computer by using USB cable
  • Press and hold home button for three seconds. Continue holding it, press and hold the sleep/wake button simultaneously for several seconds.
  • Keep holding the sleep/home button, and release the power button.
  • You will get: “Connect to iTunes Screen”.

Your iPhone will be detected in the Recovery mode. Backup and restore the data.
